The Electrical and Apparatus Engineering industry often requires very filigree components that have to be manufactured from high-precision injection moulding tools. High demands are made on the shape accuracy of the individual parts. The tolerances for the connection dimensions of other assemblies and consequently the system capability must always be guaranteed and the smallest possible manufacturing tolerances must be maintained. In order to be able to guarantee the desired tolerances, a high surface quality and filigree contours, a filling and distortion simulation is often carried out in advance. (Moldflow-Simulation). For demanding plastic parts with contact elements we rely on proven technologies. Here the metal inserts are fed manually or automatically to the tool. In order to ensure the correct positioning of the inserts in the series process, the coordination between tool and insert must be very precise. The insert part is overmoulded in the mould, thus achieving a firm bond between insert part and moulded part.
