Forms for electrical and apparatus engineering
In the electrical and apparatus engineering industry, very filigree components are often required, which have to be manufactured from high-precision injection moulds. High demands are placed on the dimensional accuracy of the individual parts. The tolerances for the connection dimensions of other assemblies and consequently the system capability must always be guaranteed and minimum manufacturing tolerances must be maintained. In order to be able to guarantee the desired tolerances, high surface quality and filigree contours, a filling and distortion simulation (Moldflow simulation) is often carried out in advance. For demanding plastic parts with contact elements, we rely on proven technologies. Here, the metal inserts are fed to the mould either manually or automatically. To ensure the correct positioning of the inserts in the series production process, the coordination between the mould and the insert must be very precise. The insert is overmoulded in the tool, which achieves a firm bond between the insert and the moulded part.
